Folks,

We have a client tool which connects to the Teradata system from a sun box via ODBC. Every now and then SELCT, CREATE/DROP TABLE statements fail with the socket error. Has anyone run into this issue before? It looks like some communication failure, but I am not sure what is causing it. Any recommendations or suggestions is appreciated.
