Just as a slight aside to this FastExport/BTEQ thread, a very quick way to see what settings BTEQ is currently using, and to expose settings
you may wish to alter, is to issue the following command in BTEQ:
.show controls
(provides the following information, for example)
Default Maximum Byte Count = 1048500
Default Multiple Maximum Byte Count = 2048
Current Response Byte Count = 65473
Maximum number of sessions = 200
Maximum request size = 1048500
Maximum IMPORT/USING data size = 65473
Maximum number of columns per SELECT= 2048
Maximum number of WITH clauses = 10
Maximum number of times in a REPEAT = 2147483647
Maximum number of script files = 30
Maximum number of lines in a TITLE = 10
Maximum number of lines per page = 55

Maximum number of bytes saved for
