To help support the TeradataForum, I've added Google Ads to some of the web pages (largely the archives). For people who spend a lot of time
on the website, you'll see the ads start to appear over the next day or two.
Although I've placed the ads on the website, this shouldn't be taken as a change to the List: the prohibition against the
promotion/recommendation/marketing of products/services on the List remains. I will not use the List to dump spam on your desktop. The ads are
limited to the website and I've tried to keep them from being too intrusive.
FWIW: I don't have direct control over the ads. The choice of the displayed ads is governed by the contents of the page on which they appear.
Google uses their automation to index each page and it's their automation which selects the ads. The ads are selected when the page is hit (you
can see this by refreshing the page - you'll probably get different ads with each refresh). The ads that I've seen are reasonably close and so I
hope they bring some value.
If you have any questions/comments, please feel free to contact me off-List.
