The Queryman install may tell you that you dont have the correct ODBC driver installed (depending on what version of SQL Assistant/Queryman you are installing) but it will not guide you through the installation of the driver.

Assuming you are using the Teradata tools and Utilities install CDs the main install should automatically select 'Teradata ODBC driver' for installation when you select 'Queryman' or 'SQL Assistant' as a product to install. In this case both products will be installed.

Otherwise you would have to manually run the install for the Teradata ODBC driver.

In order to set up your ODBC Data Source you will need to look at the data source defined on your 'work' pc to find the name (or IP address) of the Teradata system you want to connect to. If it is a name you would also need to check your hosts file to determine the IP address of this system.

Finally, you will only be able to use Queryman / SQL Assistant if your home PC has some form of 'network' attachment to your office network. (VPN, Dial up network, etc.) Otherwise you would need to use SQL Assistant (Web Edition) which can be used from your browser - but that requires that your company is running the SQL Assistant (Web Edition) server.
