Thank you for answering.

None of the conditions you mention apply in my case:

1) Nothing changed between the executing query was optimized and the time of the EXPLAIN in SQL Assistent.

2) The SQL is the same - static SQL (generated by MicroStrategy).

I guess it must be an error.

I tried the list, to see if anyone else has had the same experience. In a weak moment I thought that maybe different PE's can produce different plans. But I guess this is pure nonsence, and I certainly hope, it can't be so.
