<-- Anonymously Posted: Friday, August 06, 2004 10:07 --> Hi All, Had a strange experiance today. We had a requirement and for that we were UNION -ing 16 tables. Each table had around 5000 records. When we issued first select query we got 5000 records UNION with second table -- 6000 UNION with third table - 7000 UNION with fourth table - 8000 . UNION with eight table - 9000 (1000 rows were reduced) And the row count kept on decreasing until atlast we got some 5000 records. We were using only UNION and no filters at any stage.. I had the impression that while using UNION if we final count will be the maximum count , i mean if we get 10000 records at any stage the final count will not be less than that .. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance!!
