Hello Fred: The good news in Teradata SQL is that the FROM is option. As a result, literals can be SELECTed out of thin air. So, you can do exactly the same thing as you have done in Oracle (and others) without having a ficitious, hockey made up table to reference. Much better I think. Hope this helps, Michael Larkins
