Subj:   2-Step Query and Out of Spool Space

From:   Anomy Anom

We are running on:

     RELEASE V2R.05.01.00.04
     VERSION 05.01.00.05

I am running a two step query and it stops executing during the second step of the process (if you look at the process in PMON it is idle) but seems to still be executing in SQL Assistant. I cannot abort my query.

The database is hung (apparently) and is reset. After the restart, many of the logins are in Host-Restart state (including mine). I disconnect from the database and re-connect. I start to run my query.only to run out of spool in the first step. Now I had plenty of spool for the first step when I original ran this process. I have not had my settings changed.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

Sincerely,

Mired without spool
