Paul,

Now that I just saw your other reply... We are running SQL Assistant Version 6.1.0, ODBC driver version 3.02.00.00. It's always funny how they "enhance" something and it breaks things that you have always been doing! But it does work quite well in bteq! The same holds true for time:

select current_timestamp (time), current_timestamp;

Returns:

Current TimeStamp(6)              Current TimeStamp(6)
--------------------  --------------------------------
     15:09:36.940000  2004-03-26 15:09:36.940000+00:00

I am always looking for ways to do less typing, especially since I am a 2 finger hunt and peck type of person!!!
