You should be able to create procedures - provided you have the appropriate access rights. You may find that even DBC does not have Create Procedure rights - but DBC can grant that right to itself... and to others. (optionally with grant rights.) The Grant button in Teradata Administrator's Grant/Revoke screen will only be enabled if: a) a database is selected, (with the Object Type set to 'Database') Or b) a database AND Table/View/Macro etc. is selected (with Object Type other than 'Database') AND At least one right is checked. If you get a 'syntax' error when clicking on Grant please press F4 to display the options screen. Then check the last checkbox on the 'Confirmation' tab. (to preview the SQL before it is submitted) Then click on Grant again. This time it will display the SQL in a query window instead of submitting it. Please send this SQL to me if it does not look correct. (I would also like a screen shot of what the Grant dialog looks like when you return to the Grant screen if possible.) Please email this directly to me rather than to the group. (Thank you) [If you can see the error yourself when you look at the SQL you can also correct it and submit it from this Query screen.] Mike Dempsey
