Hi All, I am facing problem while importing data from a unicode character column from a Teradata table to MS-Excel (XP). Teradata works in utf8 charset. When I import the data to a datafile (unicode text file) using queryman I can see the Russian & Japanese characters using Arial MS Unicode font in notepad. Same column when imported in excel using OLEDB shows junk characters. In excel I am using Data->Import External Data to select the rows from Teradata unicode table. I believe this problem is occurring because Excel works in utf16 charset whereas Teradata in utf8 charset. Is there anyway to export utf8 data to excel? I am looking for experiences from people who may have earlier faced a similar scenario. Thanks, Vivek.
