Subj: | | Distributed Data Warehousing Question |
|
From: | | JANIK, ROBERT B |
Is it true that Teradata cannot support distributed data warehousing communications? In other words, separate data marts (at different
physical locations) communicating selected database table information back to a single user query?
If this is true, what plans ( if any) does Teradata have to facilitate this type of user access to multiple data marts? Certainly a
centralized data warehouse has advantages. Those advantages I do not dispute. However, distributed data warehousing has advantages, too.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
