Vivek, I could not find any problem in the shell script. Shell script is just sending the fexp output file through e-mail. When that file is visible through vi editor in unix, then why it's not visible in the e-mail.

In another program, I am using the same logic. That shell script is also reading data from fexp output file and writing the data in different format to another file. Thsi operation was working fien when varchar was used but now with CHAR option, even this shell script is not reading the data from the output file. But the data is visible when opened in vi editior.
