(1) Unless your FEXP's output is all formatted to CHAR (NOT VARCHAR) you will not be able to see it using a text editor

(2) You don't have to merge 2 fexp's output into one file , rather can use one fexp program with 2 select statement which will do the job of merging.

(3) if you like, you may also put the email text inside the same fexp program.
