Christopher We did some testing in this area prior to a hardware upgrade. We did notice that when one arc job was running we were getting 18-20 GB per hour. It varied depending on the nature of the database, in that a database with loads of small tables would have a smaller throughput than a database of the same size with one table. In addition, if you run arc jobs (if you can, remember mainframe resources and the hit on the teradata system) in parallel, your overall throughput will also increase but the throughput per job will decrease. Each job was giving us 15-16GB per hour when we had 3 job running. Also, you may need to investigate whether the INDEXES keyword is in place. If it is, then removing it will speed up the archive. I do not know by how much. I suppose it depends on the tables and indexes themselves. Good luck Frank
