How can a report line longer than 254 characters be exported to a text file for processing in another application?

Currently using:

.separator ',';
.heading '';
.titledashes off;
.export data file = xfile;
.recordmode off;
Exec macro1
.export reset

By default output id 75 chars long, adding .width 254 makes it 254 characters wide.

.width will not take a value greater than 254.

Any help appreciated
