Hi We use multiple different ids in our environment. The reason for this is as follows: We have similar applications running in several different divisions in our company. We use the same load and sql scripts for each of them. There is one power useid for each of them. Each of these power ids has the power to load and modify data in the databases for that division. However, it has no power to do this for the other divisions. Say for example, for division a, you have a POWERa user. If you get mixed up, and try and load data to division a using POWERb's logon, the job will fail. We contend that a failed job is better than contaminated data!!! Naturally, this is not totally fool proof, but it helps. Cheers Frank
