Ramesh,
Based on the information you provide, it is hard to say what goes wrong, so perhaps just one basic suggestion. Teradata notation DECIMAL(n,m)
is different from some other RDBMS. n denotes the total number of digits, m - the number of decimal places. Check whether your data fits this
format. If it does and you still get the error, please post more details, if you are so inclined.
