Hi Andrew,

Modeling your SAS problem with BTEQ is the correct methodology. SAS and BTEQ use very similar mechanisms when pulling data from a Teradata table.

Therefore, problems with SAS usually will replicate with BTEQ. If you can replicate the problem with BTEQ (which it sounds like you can in this case), then your Teradata DBA might be a starting point for applying tools to diagnose the problem in BTEQ.
