I agree that the first installation and configuration could be something traumatic for the customer. However, if the environment is the
same and I need to move the data periodically, the service provided is exactly the same. Therefore, I think NCR-Teradata must do some work
to package the product. In that way, the customer will pay for the initial installation/configuration, but will keep the product in house.
This is a good opportunity for NCR (and I know we customers always want the whole cow instead of the weekly bottles with milk)
A colleague just told me that the cost of the service is 10K for each time we run it. So, right now, we'll pass, use Fexp+Fload and wait
for the "automated solution"
