Mayur I believe that Fred is correct. The mload log table is used for the restartability of mload. One of the advantages of multiload is that it does not have the overhead of using the transient journal. And thank God for that as rollbacks do not take place if the mload fails. If it fails, the table can be left in an unusable state and this means that you have a choice. 1. Either restore the table from archive and start again 2. Restart the mload (perhaps it failed due to lack of space). You will not be able to restart if the logtable does not exist. Hope this is a help. Regards Frank
