What is the difference between the two?

If we have the Data Definition of a view in the following 2 ways, what are the implications. Obviously, the first one does the job as intended.

REPLACE VIEW XXXX as
LOCKING TABLE ABC FOR ACCESS
Sel a,b,c from xyz;

LOCKING TABLE ABC FOR ACCESS
REPLACE VIEW XXXX as
Sel a,b,c from xyz
