I guess that underlines the point that when upgrading with faster processors and you're going to keep the old hardware (ie- a co-existing
system), make sure that the new Nodes are appropriately configured to match the system to which they are going to be added. With a future
upgrade where the old hardware is going to be removed and new hardware is added, the AMP/Node ratio can be changed to match the new
system.
With the situation that you've got, where the faster processors aren't working at capacity, not only has money been spent for processing
power that isn't utilized, but it's certainly going to make sizing a future upgrade more uncertain.
