Hi all,

We are working on Datawarehouse project for an Telecome industry. we are using Teradata V2R4 for datawarehouse and it is configured with Microstartegy the BI tool. The problem we face is "performace". some of them are listed below.

1. Some reports excecutes in less time say 2 mints, but the same report exceutes more than 20 mints some times(at this time there may be some load at database side).

2. If the same report run by more than one user(say 5 users) then the excecution time goes up.

3. If the same query (generated by Micorostrategy) excecuted on queryman from five user sessions then also it takes the more time, but for the same query from one user session it returns result in very less time.

(just for ur information Microstrategy just generates the query accroding the report template and sends the query to TD,once TD completes the query it will return the result back to Microstragey in grid formate)

Like to know if there is any specific database hardware or database settings that needs to be checked to rectify this problem.
