<-- Anonymously Posted: Friday, August 30, 2002 02:24 --> I have to load NULL into a date field if the input has '?'. The code is .FIELD SALES_TRANS_DT * CHAR (08) NULLIF SALES_TRANS_DT = '?'; Note that the input is a text field of length 8 bytes. If the input field has ? in the first byte, the TPUMP works. If the ? is in any other position other than the first byte, TPUMP writes the error log with the message "Invalid date supplied for TEST11.SALES_TRANS_DT." The same is the case for other type of fields like SMALLINT & DECIMAL. How to solve this riddle? Thanks & Regards
