Subj: | | Packdisk maintenance job |

Hi all,
We are planning to schedule a "Packdisk " job maintenance on our Teradata system (V2R4.0.1), and we are looking for an appropriate Free
Space Percent (FSP) . Our main tables were created with an FSP = 0 (according to DBSControl Parameters) . Also, these tables are loaded by
MLOAD every week, and the space increase represents 0.8 %. We expect tables expansion (almost no records erasing) as our tables are
almost read-only, and we want to avoid cylindres split (we `ve got a 'Minicylpack' recently). We believe an approppriate not null value of
FSP can help us for a Teradata performance optimisation.
However, recommandations on NCR documentation "Teradata for UNIX Performance Optimisation" seems to be a little bit confused for us in
choosing an appropriate FSP value.
Any issues, ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.
