Ernie,

Currently we are using Oracle Express as our ROLAP engine; however, since Oracle Express is being integrated into Oracle's RDBMS with the 11i release, we will no longer be able to use Oracle Express against Teradata.

Therefore, we are looking into switching over to MS Analysis Services. With MS Analysis Services, I can partition my ROLAP cubes by date. In this way, MS Analysis Services should only issue SQL against the fact tables which have dates selected by the user.
