  I used to work with Sybase sql. I would like to translate the following sybase sql statement to NCR sql:

INSERT INTO     vbnprod.dbo.gebruikersnieuw
SELECT  id,NULL,
        Substring(full_name ,1,CharIndex(' ',full_name)),
        Right(full_name ,Char_Length(full_name)-CharIndex
        (' ',full_name))
   FROM            vbnprod.dbo.gebruikers

     id,null,
     substr(full_name, 1, position(' ' in full_name));

     -- ANSI compliant: substring(full_name from 1 for position(' ' in full_name))

     substring(full_name from position(' ' in full_name) + 1)
     -- substring(full_name from position(' ' in full_name)
                      for char_length(full_name) - position(' ' in full_name))

  I already know there should be a POSITION function but don't know how to use it. I use queryman to generate query's but, is there some function list with explaination and examples somewhere on the internet or some good books i could buy?
