Karen, I've worked with a few customers who load from multiple platforms. Given that there are technically a multitude of ways to get the data into Teradata, most client platforms have the normal utilities available on them, typically the most difficult part of doing this is to overcome any scheduling/table lock conflict type problems. For instance if you need to load the same table from data held on MVS and Unix then that potential problem has to be overcome. There are some cross-platform schedulers (control-m for one, I think CA's CA-7 now has this capability as well) which can help in this area. One site I worked with loaded their data from each source system UNLESS there was this type of conflict in which case they ftp'd it to a single platform and let the scheduler there control the various jobs.
