Bob,

the physical distribution of the data will be different, as it's a function of the data type and machine configuration. However, as Dave points out, the stats are the same as they relate to data demographics not physical data distribution across the machine.

However, unless it's onerous to do so, I would recollect stats anyway. It's always advantageous to rule out as many variables as possible when testing a new config prior to turning it over to the users/developers/production processing.

You can bet your bottom dollar that NCR will advise re-collecting stats (that's not a criticism) if there's a hint of a problem with existing queries on the new config.
