I would agree with Neil. SAS is a world to itself and (probably) doesn't take advantage of any of Teradata unique facilities with SQL but treats it solely as a dumb data source. Specially if you are using SAS to do statistical calculations and bringing back lots of detail data to SAS. Good observation Neil!
