We are scheduled to upgrade our Teradata from V2R3 to V2R4.1. We use the Oracle Transparent Gateway V 4.1 to access Teradata from our
Oracle servers. The 4.1 version of the gateway was never tested with V2R4 and is not supported by Oracle. The new 8.1.7 version of
Oracle's Gateway is certified with Teradata V2R4 but only works with Oracle 8i or higher.
I performed a cursory test of the old 4.1 Gateway with an 8.0.3 Oracle instance accessing Teradata V2R4.1. I successfully queried
Teradata from Oracle.
Is anyone using the 4.1 Gateway in production to access V2R4? If so, has it been stable or problematic?
