Subj: | | Removing columns |
|
From: | | Ruth Fenwick |
Just want to do a sanity check. I need to remove 3 columns of a 102G table, ~1.5 billion rows.
The PI is not changing so my plan was to just create a copy and do a mass insert select into an empty table, drop the old one and rename.
Other than the massive DASD requirement, does anyone forsee a problem with this? Am I correct in assuming that this is the fastest
method.
