In addition to the info that Tobianna gave you, remember that;
- for mainframe connections, Teradata implements "session reserve" by default. This means that if you have 4 PE's connected to a single
TDP, by default you will only have 3 PE's worth of sessions available (i.e. 360 sessions). This "session reserve" can be switched off using
a TDP command - something original like "disable session reserve" !
- multiload and fastload log on (by default) one session per amp and two control sessions, i.e. a multiload running on an 80-amp system
will logon 82 sessions concurrently.
