Hi Michael At Barclays we archive databases individually. The reason is that the mix of applications on each database is varied, some are processed daily, some weekly and some monthly so to archive all databases would involve unnecessary archiving. Also we regularly need to restore individual databases to see a point-in-time history and to do this from an archive of the whole DBC would be inefficient. The User-id we use for archiving is not DBC. We do a separate dictionary archive once a week. Hope this is of some help, good luck. Clive Hampton
