A few addition comment. First you should probably make a separate archive of (dbc) by itself and the data dictionary for (dbc) all. Second, you should always try to archive to a tape drive attached to the same node as the node running the archive job. This goes much faster. Third if using cluster dumps, in parallel, you should be aware that while you can run multiple archives with the same userid, you must have unique userids To do parallel cluster restores. As a result, you should probably have specialized archive userids so that you have tested the userids before you get into A restore situation. Thanks, Eric EJK
