Forum - What does this error mean in a checktable output? Does that mean the table is corrupted?

2741: Table header not found. Further checking skipped because of missing header(s).

Also several tables got skipped with a message "database_name"."tablename" ?skipped again at 18:21:54 15/08/01 due to pending lock." There was nothing running on the system during that time and I am wondering why we are getting that message?
