Subj:   Same query - Different Explains

From:   Bakthavachalam, Roopalini

Hi Forum,

I have a query that is being executed in two different databases. The tables involved in the query have same structures , indexes and stats between the two databases. Only the counts are different. The issue is , I am getting totally different EXPLAINs from the two databases.

Does the optimizer plan depend upon the count of the tables? If not, how can I figure out what's going on. As I said, I compared the structures, stats and indexes and they are exactly the same.

Thanks

Roopalini
