Wow? You're not allowed to customise the FS-LDM. You are going to have a hard time then especially when it comes to physical modelling.

What you can do is have a separate process to create the surrogate keys and maintain the natural keys (what we call a BKEY process)

So, outside of the FS-LDM you have a BKEY table processing

Our tables look like this

     BKEY_PARTY
     Source_System
     Source_Key
     EDW_Key

The EDW_Key is what goes into Party_Id.
