Hi Experts,

Scenario: Viewpoint showing negative spool space

We have runned updatespace utility this resolved the issue temporarily and was been occurring later a week or two the utility runned.

Logs shows no negative spool as well.

Please confirm why we are seeing this and how we can avoid the issue further.

My understanding is that the Database Space collector queries and retains database-space metrics from the DBC.DataBaseSpace and DBC.DBase tables, not DBQL.

The spool space metric is collected by the space collector and also updates the VP system_statistics table where the system health portlet reads it.

There is no calculation done on the data.? Viewpoint is reporting what is returned by the database.but on reviewing DB logs found no issues this end.
