True, you can actually do that in this case. I don't see the point, though.

You need to make exceptions for the service accounts anyway, so why not use profiles and set the PasswordReUse there? You probably use profiles for other reasons anyway and the profile-level settings override the system-level settings.

Personally, I try to avoid direct updates on DBC tables whenever I can and I believe it's a fairly good practice.
