Hi James park,

The below is another way to schedule your job and redirect the output to a file.

     30  19 * * 4  /opt/Teradata/tdat/pde/14.00.04.03/bin/cnsrun -utility ferret -multi -file
     /var/opt/Teradata/bteqdba/packdisk-scandisk.txt  > /var/opt/Teradata/bteqdba/CNSRUN_`date
     +\%y\%m\%d-\%H:\%M`.output 2>&1

This will run packdisk on every Thursday 7.30 PM. Please note that in this case (above statement) you don't need to create an output file, cron job creates the file when it runs.

I don't know about e-mail alerts.
