<-- Anonymously Posted: Tuesday, April 01, 2014 10:24 --> We are currently doing a full backup of my production data every day. Total size is around 3.5 TB and archive rates are 75 MB /Sec using TARA. Backup have being increasing slowly and currently at 12 hours and backup jobs are running well into our online window. I do have couple of questions : 1) Are our backup rates way too low ? If so what can be done to increase archive rates ? 2) Can we run two parallel jobs and still retain 75 MB/ Sec for each job ? 3) Does Tara or Netback up has a feature where we can take full back up only on weekends and incremental backup?s during the week? (Other than using permanent journals on Teradata) I also welcome any thoughts or suggestions on how to bring down the archive window. Thanks
