Hi Forum,

We have recently started running our backups in ONLINE mode.

As far as I understand, when BACKUPS are run in ONLINE mode, the tables/databases will still be available for users to access/load data.

I have just noticed yesterday that, our sessions are getting blocked by batch users as batch users were trying to acquire lock on those tables first.

Is it that, my backup user will be in blocked state until the lock is released by batch user?

Whereas, If my backup user acquires lock first (ArchiveLoggingObjsV), then the batch users will still be able to load/access tables. Is my understanding correct?

If case1 is true, then, how can we ensure that, the system/tables are available 24*7 in a project?
