Subj:   Re: Diff between SET with UPI and MULTISET with UPI

From:   Adharssh.HS

Hi,

SET with UPI will not allow row duplicates and duplicates on PI. MULTISET with UPI will act as an SET table because it will not allow duplicates on PI.

SET table will be a overhead of processing for System, as it needs to check for the Dups whereas Multiset not.

INSERT into SELECT operation will silently eliminate dups rows if it is a SET table whereas error wil throw if we use a MULTISET table with an UPI.

Thanks & Regards,

Adharssh.
