Hi Leslie, Could you please recommend some reading that explains SCD Classes that you are mentioning? Very often we have communication problems on-site where we have developers with no Teradata experience. Most of the times when we say "Type 2 SCD", we refer to a way how Teradata handles history. But they hear Kimball's interpretation of "Type 2" with generating version keys. And indeed, most of references online will support their claims. The only widely accessible reference online that I found so far, that describes the way Teradata handles history, is Wikipedia article on SCD (where it's called Type 6 Pure SCD!). It would be really useful to have a document(s) that we could share with the developers, where SCD classes are precisely explained. Thanks a lot in advance. Igor
