There is a setting in SQL Assistsnt that uses disconnected mode. That means it automatically disconects as soon as the query completes, ... but I dont think that is what you mean.

There is also a problem with the Microsoft .Net Data Provider for ODBC that causes the driver to crash under certain circumstances but the only one I am aware of that acts as you describe would be if you are trying to work with Interval data on an Oracle system (and that would not apply to Teradata Administrator)
