There exist downloadable version of Teradata, see the Teradata Developer Exchange.
The performance of Teradata on an arbitrary server with arbitrary disk/IO infrastructure will not in any way be representative of the
performance of Teradata on a Teradata appliance platform. The downloadable version is great for testing functionality, doing development and
experimenting with the database. It is not indicated for testing performance.
If a performance benchmark is desired, a Teradata representative should be contacted who will connect to our benchmarking and POC center to
assist you in your evaluation.
