Yesterday morning I changed a value of MaxParseTreeSegs parameter in Performance group using Database Window. After modifying the parameter I
typed 'W' to write the change. Normally it should finish and I can get out by quitting.
But when I typed 'W' on the command line it kept running and though I submitted 'quit' command it didn't quit. I am thinking when it kept
running it took a lot of CPU in the database server. The system admin told me that the server was reaching 100% CPU and DBAs and business users
couldn't logon.
A DBA restarted the Database and everything went back to normal.
