Sugheshi,

You indicated in an earlier post that you were Teradata certified (my assumption being you meant TD Master), with 5+ years of experience, that being said I would have expected that you would know what authorities are required to update DBSControl or be able to find it in the manual (utilities volume 1).

But to answer your question, it is unlikely that a developer would have the authority necessary to modify DBSControl. I don't know what authorities are given within your shop.

To update DBSControl you need a Linux id and knowledge of root's password or access to root and its password.
